When you hear "Albo," think crisp, snow-white. This shows up as stunning white sectors, marbling, or massive blocks where the leaf is literally producing zero chlorophyll.

The Vibe: It is the most dramatic, high-contrast, and one of the most coveted looks.

The Catch: Because those stunning white sections can't photosynthesize, they are delicate. They are the first to sunburn, and their pattern is by far the least predictable.
💛 Aurea (The Golden Child)
"Aurea" means golden. Instead of stark white, these beauties push warm, yellow-to-gold sectors and marbling.

The Vibe: It gives this incredible, sun-kissed glow that photographs like a dream.

The Perk: Aurea is actually a tiny bit more forgiving than Albo because that pigmented tissue is still doing a little bit of work for the plant.

The Quirk: Aurea coloring needs time to “burn in.” A brand-new leaf might emerge looking soft or even slightly green, but as it settles in (and gets that bright, indirect light), it deepens into a rich, stunning gold.
💖 Pink (The New Obsession)

🛑 Real Talk: Why Variegation is Not Guaranteed
Okay, here is the truth that a lot of sellers won't tell you: Most Alocasia variegation is chimeric. That's a fancy way of saying it comes from a random mix of genetically different cells in the plant, not a simple inherited trait.
What does that mean for you? It means your plant (or that little corm you're trying to sprout) can shift over time. It might decide to revert back to plain green, or it might throw a total diva fit and push an all-white "ghost" leaf that can't actually sustain itself.
