Alocasia Batwing Mother Plant

Alocasia Batwing — mother plant, exact specimen pictured. Rooted in a chunky aroid mix.

The Vibe: She is all drama. The Alocasia Batwing throws out big, deeply cut leaves with wild, wavy margins that really do look like a pair of outstretched bat wings — dark, glossy green and unapologetically bold. And this is no baby: she's an established mother plant, already mature and full of presence, the kind of specimen that anchors a whole collection and makes everything around her look a little more serious. If you want instant impact — the plant people notice the second they walk in — she's it.

Grower's Pro Tip:
She's already rooted and established in a chunky, airy aroid mix, so she's off to a strong start — keep her warm, humid, and in bright indirect light. Keep a bag of our premium Alocasia substrate, Root-Phoria Diva, on hand for her next repot and she won't miss a beat.
