Alocasia Buttercup Hybrid Variegated (Amazonica X (Pink Dragon X Calidora)) — exact specimen pictured. Variegation: yellow marbling. Rooted in a chunky aroid mix.
The Vibe: She's sunshine on a stem. This Alocasia Buttercup Hybrid Variegated — a cross of Amazonica × (Pink Dragon × Calidora) — holds up a round, softly scalloped leaf that glows lime-green and is washed and marbled with warm, buttery yellow, as if light is shining from inside her. Hold her up to a window and she practically lights up in your hand. There's a sweetness to her that's hard to describe and impossible to resist, the kind of plant that makes your whole shelf feel brighter. Buttercup is a hybrid you rarely see, and variegated even less, so if she's caught your eye, trust that feeling.
What You Will Receive:
- 🌱 The Exact Plant Pictured: This is a one-of-a-kind, WYSIWYG plant — you'll receive the exact rooted plant shown in the photo and video.
- 🧬 Her Lineage: Alocasia Amazonica × (Pink Dragon × Calidora).
- ✨ A note on variegation: Variegation is living and unstable by nature — every new leaf is a surprise, and future variegation (or reversion) can't be guaranteed. That's the thrill of a variegated collector plant.
Grower's Pro Tip:
She's already rooted and established in a chunky, airy aroid mix, so she's off to a strong start — keep her warm, humid, and in bright indirect light. Keep a bag of our premium Alocasia substrate, Root-Phoria Diva, on hand for her next repot and she won't miss a beat.
