Alocasia New Guinea Gold X Spotted Stem Hybrid Variegated — mother plant, exact specimen pictured. Variegation: cream splash and speckling. Rooted in a chunky aroid mix.
The Vibe: She makes an entrance. This Alocasia New Guinea Gold × Spotted Stem Hybrid Variegated holds up one enormous, sweeping arrowhead leaf, bright green and dusted with creamy splashes and speckles that scatter across the blade like starlight. She stands tall on a slender dark stem, and there's already a fresh new leaf coming up at her base, proof she's strong and ready to keep growing for you. As an established mother plant, she's mature and confident, a true statement specimen that brings two beloved lines together in one plant. Picture her towering over your shelf. She's a lot of plant and a lot of presence for the price, and she won't last.
What You Will Receive:
- 🌱 The Exact Plant Pictured: This is a one-of-a-kind, WYSIWYG mother plant — you'll receive the exact rooted plant shown in the photo and video.
- 🧬 Her Lineage: A hybrid cross of Alocasia New Guinea Gold × Alocasia Spotted Stem.
- ✨ A note on variegation: Variegation is living and unstable by nature — every new leaf is a surprise, and future variegation (or reversion) can't be guaranteed. That's the thrill of a variegated collector plant.
Grower's Pro Tip:
She's already rooted and established in a chunky, airy aroid mix, so she's off to a strong start — keep her warm, humid, and in bright indirect light. Keep a bag of our premium Alocasia substrate, Root-Phoria Diva, on hand for her next repot and she won't miss a beat.
