Alocasia Crystal — exact specimen pictured. Rooted in a chunky, well-draining aroid mix.
The Vibe: Quiet, plush, and impossible to stop touching. She carries three velvety heart-shaped leaves in dark sage-green, each one etched with crisp silvery-white veins that look drawn on with a fine pen. Tilt her toward a window and that velvet seems to drink the light while the veins shimmer. She rewards anyone who takes a closer look.
Crystal belongs to the jewel-Alocasia family, prized not for variegation but for surface: velvet nap and bright, high-contrast venation. She stays compact, which makes her a natural for a humidity cabinet, a glass shelf or a small display where texture can take the spotlight.
Jewel types like her are slow to come through in good form, and when this Crystal is spoken for, she's gone.
What You Will Receive:
- 🌱 The Exact Plant Pictured: The Alocasia Crystal in these photos — three velvety, silver-veined sage hearts — exactly as she sits today.
Grower's Pro Tip:
Velvet leaves love humidity but dislike sitting wet, so keep the air moist, water at the base, and let the top of the mix dry slightly in between. Bright, filtered light brings out the silver; when you repot, choose our premium Alocasia mix, Root-Phoria Diva, for the airy drainage jewel types need.
