Alocasia Fornicata Thai Con — exact specimen pictured. Variegation: creamy mint speckling. Rooted in sphagnum moss.
The Vibe: Lean in close and she sparkles. Each of her three arrow leaves is dusted from base to tip in tiny cream and white flecks over green, like a night sky printed onto every blade. You'll want to tilt her toward the window just to watch the speckle catch the light.
Thai Con is a newly introduced Fornicata cultivar, and she's one of the very first we've been able to offer. Fornicata brings the long, elegant arrow shape; Thai Con adds that all-over starry speckle instead of blocky sectors, so she reads as fine and painterly rather than loud. She suits a collector who likes to be early to something new.
Fresh releases like this rarely stay on the shelf past the first wave of collectors who spot them.
What You Will Receive:
- 🌱 The Exact Plant Pictured: The very Thai Con in these photos — three speckle-dusted arrow leaves, rooted in sphagnum moss and ready to move in.
- ✨ A note on her variegation: Her cream flecking is spread evenly across all three leaves rather than in one big block; new leaves will show their own scatter, and the amount of speckle can't be guaranteed.
Grower's Pro Tip:
Sphagnum holds moisture longer than bark mixes, so water only when the top of the moss feels just damp, never soggy. Bright, indirect light keeps the speckle crisp and the petioles upright. When she's ready for a bigger home, our premium Alocasia mix, Root-Phoria Diva, gives her the airy root zone Fornicata loves.
