Root-Phoria™ Original is a ready-to-use chunky aroid substrate for Monstera, Philodendron, Anthurium and other tropical aroids, sold in 1-gallon and 3-gallon bags. Its blend of coco coir, pine bark, perlite, lava rock, zeolite and other ingredients is built for aeration, drainage and balanced moisture.
Let’s be real—one of the easiest ways to stress out a rare, expensive plant is by keeping it in dense, standard potting soil. If you are tired of battling soggy roots and watching your plants sulk, it might be time to upgrade your foundation.
Meet Root-Phoria™. Engineered right here at Mild to Wild Studio, this is our signature premium chunky aroid substrate mix. We designed this mix to mimic the airy, fast-draining tropical understory that your favorite divas naturally crave. It’s built to maximize airflow around the root system while helping to retain an optimal balance of moisture—making it much more forgiving than traditional, heavy soils.
The “Biological Battery”
Because our mix is loaded with Zeolite and Worm Castings, it is designed to act like a biological battery for your plants. When you water with your favorite liquid fertilizer, the Zeolite is meant to catch the nutrients and trade them to the roots over time. This can help buffer your nutrients, making a regular feeding schedule gentler on delicate root hairs.

How to Use
Because we pack so many different particle sizes and chunky elements into this mix, settling will naturally occur during shipping. Please be sure to mix the bag well before each use so your pot gets a great balance of drainage materials and organic matter. For the best results, always pair this substrate with a clear nursery pot so you can monitor moisture levels!
