When you're growing an exceptional Alocasia, Monstera, Philodendron, Anthurium or other prized aroid, what's happening below the surface matters just as much as what's happening above it.
ROOT-PHORIA™ combines carefully selected organic and mineral components in a chunky, highly aerated blend designed to promote excellent drainage, encourage airflow around the root zone and provide balanced moisture retention.
It's the same substrate we use at Mild To Wild Studio for our own rare aroids.

The chunky, open structure is designed to allow excess water to move freely through the substrate while helping reduce the dense, saturated conditions that can occur with conventional substrates.

Coco Coir
Helps retain moisture while contributing to a lighter, more breathable substrate structure.
Pine Bark
Adds chunky organic structure and helps create air spaces throughout the substrate while resisting compaction.
Perlite
A lightweight, porous component commonly used to increase aeration and facilitate drainage.
Lava Rock
Provides durable mineral structure and porosity, helping maintain pathways for drainage and airflow throughout the substrate.
Zeolite
A naturally porous mineral valued in horticultural substrates for its moisture- and nutrient-holding properties and structural stability.
Tree Fern Fiber
Provides an airy, fibrous component that can retain moisture while helping maintain an open substrate structure.
Calcined Clay
A porous, structurally stable component used to help manage moisture while maintaining air space within the substrate.
Charcoal
